Description
Tank Art Deco Ring in 18-Carat Gold, Platinum, Ruby and Diamonds – Circa 1930
A magnificent antique Tank ring, made in France circa 1930, showcasing the bold, architectural aesthetic of the Art Deco period.
Crafted from 18-carat yellow gold (750 milles) and platinum, this ring is distinguished by its generous setting, geometric lines, and striking contrast between the warm yellow gold and the brilliance of the platinum.
At its centre, a natural oval-shaped ruby, estimated to weigh approximately 1.10 carats, displays a beautiful intense red colour with pinkish hues. Held by four white-metal prongs, it forms the focal point of the composition.
On either side, two platinum panels are set with 18 brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.40 carats, with an estimated quality of G-H / VS. Their delicate sparkle enhances the depth of the ruby's colour.
The wide, structured setting, characteristic of 1930s Tank rings, features openwork beneath the stones, demonstrating meticulous jewellery craftsmanship.
A distinctive piece with an unmistakably vintage charm, ideal for collectors of antique jewellery and Art Deco pieces.
